THE THERMOSTAT
The Nest thermostat operates in an eco mode where it senses when you are away and lets the A/C take a break. It may be warm when you get back to the house; feel free to adjust the thermostat when you return. I get it; it's HOT! But PLEASE do not turn it down too low or it could freeze up and stop working. I usually try to keep it at 72 or higher.
Please do not leave doors or windows open when the A/C is on. Be especially mindful of the door at the bottom of the spiral staircase, as it lets all the heat from the garage come in and rise to the kitchen, making the kitchen very hot. It’s also helpful to keep the door to this stairwell closed.
TELEVISIONS
Sometimes they do not show up in the Roku Live TV Channel Guide which shows Roku live/streaming content. The last picture above shows the channel listing you should see when looking for local channels.
The TV’s are Roku smart TV’s; feel free to log into whatever apps you typically use to stream your favorite shows, or just watch what’s available through Roku.
The family room TV also has an HD digital antenna which picks up local stations. You can access these by pressing the Home button on the remote and then scrolling to the right (NOT DOWN) and selecting “Live TV.”
